Quiet Soul
Scripture:
“The fruit of that righteousness will be peace, its effect will be quietness and confidence forever.” – Isaiah 32:17
Encouragement:
It is so tempting to be a part of everything that everyone else is doing. Sometimes we want to do all, be involved in, and hear all, but we can’t. There are days where you feel overwhelmed because of too much doing and not enough resting. Physically worn out instead of refreshed.
Getting away with the Lord is a splendid gift to give yourself at these times. Resting in His presence when you feel worn out is the best remedy. Come apart from the hustle and bustle of life and schedules and ask God to order your steps.
Peace and rest will be your result. Quietness of soul and trust in God forever will be your reward.
Prayer for Today:
God, thank you for the gift of rest today. Thank you for the strength to pull aside from the busyness of my schedule and day and sit at your feet and reap the rewards of rest and peace. In Jesus name. Amen.
