Come to Jesus

 Scripture:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28

 Encouragement:

Have you ever had a person who you feel so comfortable with you can be yourself around them and tell them anything? A friend like that is a wonderful find. They are a treasure to keep close. But what do you do when you don’t have that person and you have the cares of life on you and burdens of the day? The Bible is clear. You come to Jesus.

We all get tired. It’s a part of life. But you mean so much to the Lord He has purposely said when you are weary and feel many burdens of life come to Him. When you come to Him, He says He will give you rest. Not the rest of the world, but rest in Him. Rest for your soul. In I Peter 5:7, he tells us to cast our care upon him because he cares for us. We don't have to carry the circumstances of life solely upon our shoulders and have all the answers. He is the answer. He just asks us to trust him with it all and lean into his rest with assurance he's got it all figured out. Sure, it's easier said than done and it looks great on paper, but know this; He is with you and he will never leave you alone. Practice looking up to him and stay in his word. Believing in faith, giving him your anxiety and fear. Just watch what he will do for you. He never breaks a promise!

These are such beautiful promises from a beautiful Savior.

 Prayer for Today:

Lord, thank you for rest that really only comes from you. Thank you for being able to come to you with my cares, burdens and weariness from life and trusting that you will give me rest. Thank you for being so concerned about me today. In Jesus' name. Amen.
